This box is part of my “Til Death Do Us Part” series. Each box is/will be planted in an old, interesting cemetery in Southeast Michigan. Each box is a tribute to of one of my favorite movies/tv shows in which death somehow plays a major part, although this does not necessarily mean it is the main plot. I am not intending for this to be a morbid series, by any means. I find it fascinating to read the stones in old cemeteries. Please try to appear that you have a reason to be here, pay attention to the all of the stones (not just the ones noted in the clues), stopping to observe them along the way. I hope you enjoy the series and your visit to these historical treasures.

(For those of you that found the first incarnation of “PIF”, this is a new stamp and a new location.)

Before you head out…

Solve this simple cryptogram to discover the movie that is the subject of this box:

HOG EK CUDBODJ

Hint, the cryptogram “key” is the same for all boxes in this series. Before searching for this box, you will need to do some research on some of the actor names, character names, actor birth dates and other information that can easily be found on the internet in a movie database. It is not necessary to watch the movie before searching for this box. Although, it would enhance your enjoyment! Plus, it’s a good movie, so watch it anyway! ;)

Box Clues:
** Beware of geese, geese poop and if you’re here in the spring, especially beware of geese nests, those nesting mamas are MEAN! (oh, but those little chicks are so darn cute!) **

Drive to the back of the cemetery and park in the gravel turnout near the lake.

E gad! Look at large phallic stone with the same first four letters as the last name of the actor who played Adam________________. Facing this stone, turn left and walk a-ways. Find the large family stone whose leftist husband/father was born 30 years and 5 months before the actor who played Jerry. __________

With your back to this stone, make your way slightly diagonally to the left to a stone with the same last name as the actress who played Arlene____________. Turn left, walk with the curve, pass a large bush on the left and cross a road, pass another large bush, a birch and cross another road.

Margaret died 6 years and Silas died 2 years before the actor who played Eugene was born ______. From here, continue toward and a little bit past the largest, many-armed guardian. Find a small gray “Campbell” with the same first name as the character played by Angie D. __________. Turn south and cross road.

Walk straight toward the pine near a road. Find a Farkas with the same first name as the actor who played Ricky. __________________

Turn east and walk down the road until you find the “Bard of Belleville” who was born the same month as the actor who played Trevor, only 92 years before. __________________ Turn right past this stone and walk in an arc down the aisle.

Cross the road and look for a “Buck” stone that was placed in loving memory of a lady with the same first name as the character played by J.B J __________________ Facing this stone, turn left and walk down the aisle.

Cross the road and the multi-textured square. Walk diagonally south down the center aisle. On your right, find a stone with two names. Add the last two digits of both birth years and subtract the numeric equivalent of the birth month of the man; this should equal the last two digits of the year the actor who plays Eugene was born ______________

If you're at the right stone, subtract the “age in 2008” of the actor who plays Trevor _______ from the last two numbers of the birth year of the actor who plays Chris ________ (___ - ___ = __________). Turn to your left and walk this number of steps.

To the south, find the decaying V. Look behind the center part of the front arm of the V, just to the left of the split-top.

Please re-hide the box very well, making sure it is covered and invisible from all angles.

Box Notes:
This box is completely airtight and water proof when closed correctly. Please take care that there is no plastic or dirt between the lid seal and box. Snap all four latches completely when closing. Please do not place this box inside of a plastic bag.

BTW, my directions weren't taken with a compass so they may not be exact.

The log book in this box is a little on the small side, if you have more than one “hunter” with you, please try to have everyone stamp on one page, if possible. Thanks!

Note, there is no pen or stamp pad inside of this box! Remember to bring your own!

Hitchhikers are welcome as long as they are small enough to allow the lid to be sealed completely when closed. Thanks!

The day I planted this box, I was chased by a goose, “yelled at” by about a dozen geese, saw about 30 bright yellow adorable little goslings and was surrounded by about 50 biker dudes and babes riding several dozen Harleys and pickups of various sorts. They were having some kind of memorial and/or party in the cemetery while I was trying to write clues! They were laughing it up, taking pictures, making jokes and having a grand old time! What a day!
