**I'm here**

Creekside Park is a hidden treasure in Round Rock, Texas. Along Brushy Creek this location is one of the earliest spots where there were baptisms. Missionaries of varied faiths came on horseback to the area as settlement increased. Baptisms occurred here from the 1800's to the 1900's.

Creekside Park is located just West of I35 in Round Rock. Take 620 West - Cross over the railroad track and look for the 620 Cafe and Bakery on your right- (one of my favorite places to get some fresh baked pastries) - Turn into the parking lot and continue down the hill. At the bottom of the hill is the Park.

Park near the Creekside Park & Rules Signs slightly to the right as you enter the parking lot. Look to your right and you will see a large tree with a marker just behind it. Walk slowly 55 steps from the rules sign to the marker. Take a moment and read about the history of this location. To your right you will see some flat rocks and the falls of the Brushy Creek. Enjoy the view if you like. From the marker walk upstream along the bank 38 steps where you'll come to another tree at the bottom of a grassy ramp. Have a seat on the rock for a moment - as I remember where I once lived - the crevasse on this rock was just too busy so I needed to move and now you can too. Stand and look upstream, now to your left - kind of way left you'll see a large bush near a group of trees. Take the high road and stand to the left of the bush. You'll be standing on some solid ground. Look between the trees and you'll find a smaller tree with two trunks connected near the bottom. On the opposite side you'll find what you seek nestled in the trunk covered by some rocks. Please be careful. My last home was all tossed about, now that I'm moved in here, I'd like to stay for awhile. Thanks for visiting. Please let me know about your visit.
