Park between the Pool and the Gym (go "straight" when you approach the parking area to accomplish this -- bearing right, takes you to the far side of the Gym, turning left works too, but it's a different lot).

Using your compass, bear straight South along the newly formed Gravel Path toward the NEW PLAYGROUND.

Walk to the far side, with the "Big Kid" swings and the Climbing Wall. With your back to the Playground, you'll see 2 Trail Heads with Sign Posts.

Choose the Trail head that's at 200 degrees(the one at 120 degrees will get you there, it's just a longer approach and you could end up on the wrong trail).

Walk down the trail a short way till you see a 2nd Metal Post (IGNORE the 1st metal post) and this one says Orchard Loop .3 miles a little off to the right (about 220 degrees). Stay on the main trail (about 120 degrees).

NOTE: if you're looking for Candlelight's 3rd box (Hummingbird), you'll want to take the right (220 degrees) approach to Orchard Loop. You can get there from our box, but it's a lot harder to guess which "mossy multi-trunked tree" from there as there are many on this path. If you bear right and follow her directions, it's much easier to find. You can continue along the loop to find our box, just count back from when you hit the fork).

Go straight for a little while (between 1/8th and 1/4 mile), till you see some fencing that makes it impossible for bikes to go down the trail. Pass thru these.

Now walk down the trail, it's a good tenth of a mile or so (told you this was an "easy" one). Pass what my daughter called "The 4 Sentinels" (it's 4 relatively thinner trunk trees crowding the path from both sides).

A little further down the trail, at the fork, you'll want to go 260 degrees -- almost due West. The other fork is the South Canyon Trail and goes down to the lake (you'll also note a metal post with Orchard Loop on it on the correct fork).

Now walk approximately 32 steps from the Orchard Loop metal post(remembering I'm rather short and these are probably about 3 foot long average hiking steps) to a tall moss covered tree on the left that's standing right next to a "mossy stump" that's about 6 feet tall at it's highest (hey, I had to look "up", so it's gotta be taller than 5'!).

Behind the "mossy stump" is your Honey filled treasure stamp (Did I mention my daughter was 7 when we planted this ?).

You can continue along this path back up to the start (and you'll pass Candlelight's Hummingbird stamp along the way -- we found it from this direction, but it's clearly not what she intended :).

If you come at this from the Hummingbird stamp, you'll just have to walk to the fork and backtrack the 32 steps.

Once you finish, you'll want to retrace your steps to the Perimeter trail and stop to play on the New Playground before going back to the parking lot (due North now).

Enjoy!
