Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent.
To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring – it was peace.

"Sam the Eskimo" loved this meadow. In the spring, because there was snow at the edge along the woods long after most of the snow had melted. He loved it in the summer for the cool breezes. But most of all he loved it when he was free of his leash and he could run. Running was his greatest joy.

He left his paw prints on our hearts and we miss him.

This box can be found at the edge of the “Upper Meadow” in Beaver Brook on Burns Hill.
To get there take Union St. out of the Oval. At the top of the hill bear right onto Osgood Rd. Pass West St. on your right. Go under the overpass and take your next right after passing Osgood Pond onto Mason Road. After you come out of the tall pines you will see Burns Hill on your left. Take that left. You will see a big house and barn on your left and a dirt road to a parking lot on your right. Take that right.
Go around the barrier and up the trail on your left.
When you come out of the trees the meadow will be in front of you with the woods to your left. Halfway along the top of the meadow you will see a trail on your left. At the very beginning of this trail, you will see a pile of rocks and a “NO HUNTING” sign on the right. Opposite, on your left, is a big rock with yellow paint. Partially on top on this rock lays a big flat stone. On the ground, in the corner of these two rocks, you will find a small triangular stone. Pull this stone towards you and reach in back of it under the stone to find a micro letterbox.
Happy trails
