This box is in memory of Herbie, our boys' first hermit crab, who died, mid-molt, in the Fall of 2007. (Don't worry. The box contains no remains; only his likeness, lovingly hardcarved on a stamp.) It is located in Hacklebarney State Park, southwest of Chester, NJ.
From the parking area and trailhead kiosk, follow the river downhill to where it empties into the Black River. (There's a couple ways to go. I prefer navigating over the rocks.) Find table #63. Compass heading of 40 degrees, then approximately 18 paces.
Good luck!
