I always looked forward to Easter so I could get a new easter basket and go on an Easter egg hunt. We would usually have brand new Easter clothes and would dinner on the grounds at church. After lunch, the adults would hide the eggs, then the kids would make a mad dash to find the most eggs. We did it with our kids and now our grandkids. For them, we hide the eggs over and over again and it's always a pleasure to watch the joy on their faces when they find and egg.

Directions:
This box is located at Double Lake Recreation Area near Coldspring, Texas. If you are going north from Houston on Highway 59, look for the Coldspring exit at Cleveland and take it, then follow Hwy. 2025 for about 15 miles to the park entrance on the right. Enter and pay your fee, then proceed, keeping right, and park by the swimming hole.

To the box:
Take the Lakeshore Trail next to the lake, keeping the lake on your left. When you come to where the Lakeshore Trail intersects the Lone Star Trail, take the LST to the right, and go straight at the trail marker. Pass the clearing at the bike trail and walk up the trail for about 100 steps, where you will see a little-used, raised trail on the right. Take that trail for about 75 steps to a pine tree on the left that you can reach out and touch. The basket is behind that tree. The eggs are scattered about, but each is sheltered by a pine tree. Please be sure to replace the eggs as you found them.

Thanks
