Dear Deer can be found in the wonderful CCC Lake Park, 1.3 miles south of Perry on Highway 86. Turn east into the entrance to the park that has big gates with "CCC" on them. The park is open from dawn to dusk.

Take the right fork upon entering the park. Take the next right fork over a small bridge past the swings, volleyball sand lot, and the wonderful old lake shelter. Many picnics and reunions are held here every year.

Take the road up the hill to see the picnic shelter on the hill. Great view! Continue following the road and come back down the hill back to the bridge. Take the right road and then you'll have the choice to go left or right again. Take the left,(high road)and you'll come to a path to the "Centennial Church". Get out and look around. Very quaint.

After leaving the church, you'll arrive at a bridge that has a rock memorial "Born by the Run". Crossing the bridge, you'll see three cedar trees next to the water's edge.

Look on the branches of the left tree.
