The trail starts at Oak Hill Elementary school located off hwy 212. Go to the back of the school and park at the playground that is red, yellow, and blue. Across the parking lot you will see a trail entrance titled the piney woods trail. The trail is very short and is growing up in the middle of the path. Enter the area closest to the playground. Stay on the trail, you will cross a small gully continue on the trail. You will come to a fork in the trail take the trail to the left and you will be able to see the fire station through the trees. When you pass the fire station look to your left and in the woods you will see half of a tree that looks like it was struck by lightning. Take 12 steps off the trail and you will find the letterbox at the base of the tree. It is covered with pine straw and has a few rocks on top of it. I hope you enjoy your very short hike!
