This is a very fun, extremely family-friendly letterbox!

You're going to get wet getting to this box, but that's okay--it's in one of the most beautiful places we've ever visited.

Head via boat to Little Bay on Anguilla's north shore, and drop anchor for outstanding snorkelling in a crystal-clear, swimming pool-calm small bay . . . don't forget to look up as well as down into the water, because Little Bay is dramatically rimmed by sheer cliffs. There are pelicans soaring and diving for fish, fabulous rock formations, interesting cactus and other plant life all around. There is even an excellent Leaping Rock with a rope conveniently placed to help you get started on your climb. Plan to spend at least a couple of hours here--you don't have to, but you'll want to!

Now, to find the letterbox, swim over to the perfectly picturesque little beach. As you face the beach from the water, there's a Big Boulder at the far left. Walk around it (you might be in a little water here, depending on the tide). When you go behind it, you'll be in a sort of 3-sided "room" bounded by the cliffs. Right behind the Big Boulder you just came around, there is another big rock, with a natural basin in it, about knee-height to the adults in your group. Scramble 6 or 8 steps over water-smoothed rocks to get to the Basin Rock. Piled in the basin are 6 or 8 good-sized rocks just like the ones you just scrambled over. Move 'em, and underneath you will find the Ooh La La letterbox, which is an 8x8 plastic container that has a logbook, an ink pad, a stamp, a pencil, and a few goodies for the first 4 or 5 finders.

Email us and let us know how you liked Little Bay--we think it's totally fabulous!
