Find your way to Adath Isreal Cemetery, Pine Street, Middletown Ct.
Pull into the main parking lot and go through the gate. Follow the cement walkway until it connects with the asphalt walkway. Go left on the asphalt walk all the way until you come to the backside of the cemetery and the headstone for Field. Look behind it to find Jacob and Ester Schnable.
We were here paying our respects to a friend when we noticed this unusual monument/headstone/ship. We had never seen anything like this before and if someone could enlighten us, we would love to find out more about it.
Before heading off to find the box, take a moment to read some of the things written here. I’m sure you will be as curious as we were once you see it.
To find the box go to the end (bow) of the “ship” and look to the fence on your left. At the fattest rung in line with the bow look behind it. Please replace the box next to the fence so others can reach it.
