This is dedicated to my favorite movie, ¡Three Amigos!, filmed out at Old Tucson Studios in 1986, starring Martin Short, Steve Martin and Chevy Chase.

When silent film stars Lucky Day, Dusty Bottoms and Ned Nederlander get fired, they take a job offer from Mexico: Doing a show with El Guapo, supposedly the most famous actor there. Traveling there in hope of getting good money, they arrive only to learn soon that El Guapo is not an actor, but a cruel gang leader suppressing people. He abducts the mayor's beautiful daughter Carmen (to be his wife) in revenge for the people's cry for help. Now, all hopes of the village folks rest on the weak shoulders of three minor-talented actors, who can't just walk off the set this time. Clues to the box:
Take Speedway Rd. west over Gates Pass Rd. to Kinney Rd. Turn left on Kinney Rd. and go approximately ¼ of a mile. You can also take I-10 eastbound to I-19 southbound and exit Ajo; turn right on Ajo and go to Kinney Rd. You will want to turn right on Kinney and go north approximately 5 miles. You will want to go to the main entrance of Old Tucson Studios. Go to the viewfinder podium at the far east side of the parking lot.

After enjoying the views of Drexel Heights, Three Points and Kitt Peak from up there, proceed to the “Walkway to Additional Parking” path that is behind you. This walkway is lined with wooden handrails. You will cross a gravel “road” to a second path with wooden handrails. From the very end of the 2nd path, count approximately 35 paces to three what look to be like Ironwood trees with two prickly pear neighbors on your right hand side (two of these trees are visible from the path – the third is hidden). ** Please keep in mind that I am 5’4” and my paces are much shorter than most others. ** Go around to the south side of these trees. When facing the trees, you will find your friend by the trunk of the tree on the left.

This is a desert environment, so please be very aware of things that can poke, bite, sting, or otherwise harm you. :) Please be discreet and rehide well. Thank you!! :)
