From Tamiami Trail (US 41), turn West on Bonita Beach Road. Continue on Beach Road until it turns north along the beach. The road will turn north and narrow to two lanes at Doc's Beach House. Continue on Bonita Beach Road and turn left on Hickory Blvd just before the bridge. Turn left on Hickory Blvd and then take a quick right on Hickory Blvd. Pull left into Little Hickory Island Beach Park and park in the lot.
This beach is a popular nesting place for sea turles in the summer. Stop at the shelter and read about the sea turtles.
Continue down the steps to the beach. At the bottom of the steps. On the right side at the bottom of the stips count to the 8th post and burried in the sand you will find the "Bonita Sandollar". There should be a digging shell to help you dig.
