Helicopters I
Veterans Memorial Park Union Township, aka ‘The Helicopter Park’, Clermont County, Ohio near Cincinnati

Directions:
From I-275 exit Eastgate Mall & SR32 East. Turn right at lights onto Gleneste-Withamsville Road. Park is on corner of Clough Pike and Gleneste-Withamsville Road. Enter park at main entrance on left side of Gleneste-Withamsville, just before the Helicopter.
As you entered the park you passed a sign saying ‘Start Here’. Do so.
Follow the black-top path anti-clockwise (if you’re a senior you can exercise on the way).
Pause to look at the helicopter as you pass if you wish.
Continue east along path.
Past the ‘Finish Line’, follow the white painted arrows to ‘1/4 MILE’.
Maybe your reward is under a rock (only joking!!)
Follow the path to the second bench and take a rest until all the walkers and joggers have passed by.
Cross the path to the ‘Rock Throwing Prohibited’ sign and take a bearing of 120º from the sign. Walk 11 paces.
Helicopters I is under a pile of rocks behind the tree.
The stamp illustrates the winged seeds of the English Sycamore Tree (a variety of maple) which are commonly referred to as ‘Helicopters’ as they spin on their way downwards from the mother tree.
