From Memphis, heading east on Walnut Grove Rd, turn right on Farm Rd (at a stop light) and take an immediate left. Drive about a mile, then pull into the parking lot on the right for Lucius Burch Jr. Natural Area. (Be sure to follow those directions to the correct trailhead. Do not start at the Lucius Burch trailhead off of Germantown Road). This is a trail for hiking, biking and horseback riding.. so watch out for the horse you-know-what.. hehehe. Take the trail straight out until it ends at Wolf River (about 2 miles). Turn left on Wolf River Trail. Walk down the root stair case. Have a seat on the wood bench that overlooks the river. While seated, look over your right shoulder to a big double tree. The box is at the base of the 10 foot tall tree stump behind the big double tree covered by dirt, sticks and leaves.
