Boxes checked on 4/26/09, all are there and in good shape. We will leave these boxes out.

These boxes were only going to be out for the month of December, but we have decided to leave them out a bit longer. We will remove them from the list when they will no longer be available. Have fun!
It will take about one hour and is kid and dog friendly.
No ink, only one logbook in the last box.

To find these boxes you can start from John Tynan Park in Middletown, Ct. To get to the park take route 66 to Higby Road which is right next to the Red Dog Saloon on route 66. Follow Higby until you get to the stop sign and the park is on the left. From I- 91 take Country Club Road and the park will be on the right just before the stop sign.

We wish you Peace. To find peace, follow the red/blue blazes until you enter the woods. Cross the stream (can be a challenge at times) and when you come to the T-intersection (dirt roadway) look across the roadway to a large twin sister maple on the left, just before the low rock wall. Look behind it for Peace.

We wish you Hope. To find hope, continue on the red/blue and pass through a hemlock grove. After the grove you will cross a stream bed (gully), continue on the trail until you see a blazed grey birch on the left side of the trail next to twin stumps. Across the trail from the birch and the stumps go to an oak with two dead hemlocks. Look behind the oak for Hope.

We wish you Love. To find love follow the trail until you begin to see trees marked with yellow and barbed wire on the right. From the first tree imbedded with wire go about 32 steps up the trail to a twin sister oak across from blazed twin maples. Look behind the oak for Love.

We wish you Joy. To find joy follow the trail again along an open field on your right. Just before you get to the end of the field you will see a fallen twin sister on the right which is pointing at the trail. This fallen tree is almost across from a blazed oak on the left. Go to the far end of the fallen sisters for Joy.

Grumpy, Mona and I wish you and yours all of these things for the coming year.
I have found that I can find all of these things when I am outdoors, I hope you can too!
