The GWP Series is a group of boxes that were originally placed on George W Pirtle Scout Reservation, Home Sweet Home Away From Home to many East Texas scouts and scouters! The boxes were planted for the 3 Rivers District/Caddo District Dad and Lad event held in April 2007. Boys and Dads learned how to treasure hunt like letterboxers!

After the event, the boxes were retrieved and are being placed around the United States. I am leaving the Cub Scout stamps in the backs of the logbooks so that letterboxers can see the cool stamps the boys used - all unique and hand carved by boxers and scouters. I've added pages in the fronts of the logbooks for letterboxer entries.

As a "first to Re-find" prize, I've included a Cub Scout patch from my collection of patches in each box. Some of them are patches I've designed for various events, some are designed by others. Some are BSA official designs, but they are all pretty cool!

To find Git Along, you will need to find your way to the intersection of Brush Creek Road and Country Club Road south of Denton. At that intersection you will find the Graham-Argyle Cemetery, a quirky little cemetery with some interesting features. The cemetery itself is closely flanked by what appears to be a house, although I'm not sure that's what it was. Anyway, I suggest you take a little while and roam through it as you work to find the box.

When you enter the cemetery, proceed to the historical marker and the flagpole. You will also see a working bell, but I suggest you refrain from ringing it. If you just can't resist, try to make yourself wait until you are leaving the cemetery!

After reading the historical marker (you DO always read the historical markers, right?), walk around it and stand with your back to the marker. Begin walking toward the back of the cemetery, walking straight from the marker. Proceed until you find the podium with the book on it.

When you find the podium, walk behind it and stand facing the "audience" as though you intend to read from the book. This would be your opportunity to preach or get on your soapbox or whatever is your inclination when standing behind a podium (at the moment, mine was to tell jokes which seemed distinctly inappropriate given the setting, so I just took a quick cursory look over the podium). Look to your left shoulder and see the above ground entombment. Walk toward that, keeping it to your left, continue walking until you reach the edge of the cemetery. Look for the small cluster of bushes closest to where you ended, and look at their base them for the box.
