- IT SEEMS THIS BOX HAS BEEN TAKEN OR JUST TROTTED AWAY-
For the last 30 years the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce has hosted a charity Turkey Trot. This is a Thanksgiving Day run that raises money for the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. It was a great event for Peak-a-Boo, Z-gull and Morning Sun. This box was placed in honor of participating in our first 10K Turkey Trot.
Direction from I-5 Freeway...
Exit at the Pacific Coast Highway(PCH) towards Dana Point.
Left onto Violet Lantern -follow it until you reach a dead end. Turn left onto Camino Capistrano and follow it until you reach old Golden Lantern. At this intersection turn right into the Heritage Park parking lot.
Directions from Dana Point:
Take PCH South and turn left onto Violet Lantern -follow it until you reach a dead end. Turn left onto Camino Capistrano and follow it until you reach old Golden Lantern. At this intersection turn right into the Heritage Park parking lot.
Clues:
Follow the sidewalk south up the stairs. At the top of the stairs stay to the right along the concrete path. Stop and take a look at the harbour and the streets below. Stop and view a portion of the annual Turkey Trot course. Find your way to the center of the large compass on the ground at the top of the circle. Face North. Take 7 paces (14 steps) forward. Find the Pine tree to your right. The box is located at the northern base of that tree.
