Jax loves going for walks, especially to Doggie Grandma's House. She always has a treat for her doggies.
One of Jax's favorite places for a walk is the Rail-Trail. We always see wildlife and sometimes other dogs out for a walk, too. We always start at the Loomis Trail head, put our backpacks on and lock the car, just to be safe. :)
There is a little blacktop trail that leads from the parking lot to the main trail, coming to a "T". We see a sign on our left. The direction to turn down the trail (either R or L) is a letter repeated 4 times on a single side of the sign.
Next, we cross Loomis Street. We always make sure to stop, sit, and look both ways before crossing.
After that, we walk through the tunnel that goes under Loomis Road. Jax usually takes this opportunity to "potty break," and we always clean up after ourselves.
We continue walking a ways... We see a curve in the trail ahead. On the way to the curve, there are a couple houses with doggies that bark. Jax says "Hi!" to them as we walk by.
Near the curve in the trail we pass a little cut-thru path on our left that crosses the road and goes to Doggie Grandma's house. Sometimes this is where our walk ends, but you should keep walking... Just inside of the stand of Popple trees on your left you will find the box/cache. It's about 25 to 30 feet past the trail to Doggie Grandma's house and back in the trees a little ways. It is a ammo box covered with some natural flora... Do you see it?
Please cover it better than you found it so passers by won't find it... Enjoy your walk!
