New clue, location in the park, and replaced missing stamp/logbook/box. Enjoy! 1/6/08

Did you know that the first type of skateboards were actually more like scooters? In the early 1900's roller skate wheels were attached to a two by four. Often the wood had a milk crate nailed to it with handles sticking out for control. Over the next five decades kids changed the look of the scooter and took off the crate and started cruising on two by fours with steel wheels. Tens of thousands of roller-skates were dismantled and joyfully hammered on to planks of wood.

Skateboarding was originally dubbed “sidewalk surfing” in the 1950’s.

Start at the La Habra Boys & Girls Club parking lot,
Facing the skate park.

To your right (west) you should see 4 baseball diamonds up on a hill. Head toward them, your destination is field #4 (northwest field).

Walk along the fence outside field #4 west toward the outfield fence. When you are at the corner behind third base look for a tree that leans/favors the northeast.

From the white PVC pipe next to the leaning tree head 29 steps west to the rock drainage ditch on the outskirts of the park.

Next head 47 steps south toward a short palm with a Napoleon complex. To the right a tree should be resting against a chainlink fence. Behind the tree but in front of a small bamboo fence idea that was never completed is what you seek.

Rehide carefully; the park can be a busy place. Happy Hunting!
