Please bring your own pen and ink pad.
Start at the main Nichols Arboretum entrance 1610 Washington Hts in Ann Arbor.
Walk straight into the Arb, passing Burnham House on your right. Take the woodchip lane past Jeffrey Paul Ashton´s bench. Look left to learn about native MI plants. Smell the pine to your right. Have a seat at the big stump on your right, look for the Heathdale rock, and follow along. Switchback downhill. Left at Witch Hazel, past the knights at the round circle. Left at a second Heathdale, followed by a quick right and left toward the arching tree. Continue over the boardwalk. Stop for a smooch and admire the beauty of the (gourd) tree. Once in the open, check out the squirell stump, then head in the opposite direction. Turn left on the main trail and head towards the Riverbank Rescue. Enjoy the Huron on your right. Pass 3 black and white posts. At the 3rd post, look for a large moss covered fallen log to your left, where you´ll find the letterbox.
