**8/08 This box was attacked by a critter and I found it strewn all over the ground. I found all of the pieces, but the log book was mush and the box was chewed. The stamp was salvageable-sort of. He lost an eye, ear and his tail. I believe I will turn him into a hh and send him off to see the world. I hope he has better luck.**
~The "girls" and I were back again on a cold, blustery day 8-) They made a lot of new friends and met up with some old ones too. I just love this place!!!
This one is placed for my Dad. He always wanted one of these dogs. Maybe it was all those years of driving a Mack truck ;-)
Directions;
Find Route 71A/Chamberlin Highway and Norton Road which runs off of it. Once on Norton from the Chamberlin Highway, take your first right onto Winesap Road and follow the road straight until it ends in a cul-de-sac, which is the entrance to Bicentennial Park. (Directions borrowed from Mark & Sue's 'Dog Walk' series).
Clues;
Enter through the opening into an open field, walk through the field and then you will pass through another opening into another open area. Stay to the right and when you spot an unmarked trail guarded by a large maple tree with an outstretched arm take that trail-(borrowed from Mona's box directions).
Go to the left on this trail and give a little wave to Mona. Continue on as the trail bends right and then left. Wave hello to Strider here. Continue on a bit more on a nice straight stretch and look for your first trail going downhill on the right.
Take this trail downhill for ~45 steps and stop.
Walk to the right along the Oak tree line for ~25 steps and stop.
Now turn right and walk uphill for ~20 steps to a two sister Cedar tree.
Look at the base of this tree for the Old English Bulldog.
