Proceed south on HWY 9 to the stop light located at the south end of Breckenridge. Turn left/east on Boreas Pass Road [BPR]. Located immediately on the right, pass the locomotive snow plow and the ice rink. Continue on BPR until the road narrows, the speed limit reduces to 10 mph and the road's surface becomes dirt.

Notice the parking lot at the Baker's Tank trail head. Park, and continue on BPR through the gate. Continuing on BPR, walk through the rocky corridor, walk past the noticeable trail on the right/west side of BPR leading up to a small burm with a fire ring. After passing the burm, look for two old tree stumps on the left/east side of BPR. The stumps look very similar, only a few feet separate them, and they are both pirched atop two rock outcroppings.

Now, from these tree stumps, walk approximately 190 steps further on BPR. After the 190 steps, arrive at another tree stump located just off the right/west side of BPR. This stump is bigger around than the surrounding Aspens, and has a noticeable knob on its top. Next, on the left/east side of BPR, directly across BPR from the stump, ascend to the top of the short, steep pitch. From the top of the pitch, walk approximately 12 steps directly uphill/east. Finally, after 12 steps, arrive at a group of 4 or 5 Aspens with a pile of sticks at their bases. Look under the sticks, and enjoy a happy day.
