UPDATE 09/21/2008

LOOK WHO HAS RETURNED TO HER ORIGINAL HIDING PLACE! SHE HAS SET UP SHOP AGAIN, SO LOOK FOR HER BY FOLLOWING THE CLUES BELOW. PLEASE BE SURE TO HIDE HER WELL SO VANDELS DON'T STRIKE AGAIN!

This is a nice enjoyable 2 mile (one way) walk any time of year suitable for kids and adults alike. Start you quest on the York County Heritage Rail Trail http://ycwebserver.york-county.org/Parks/RailTrail.htm) at the Brillhart Station Parking Lot. Take Exit 14 off of I-83 and head west on Leader Heights Road. Continue across S. George St. at which point the road becomes Indian Rock Dam Rd. At the Miller Meat Market, on your left, make a left unto Croll School Rd. and follow to the “Y” in the road and bear right onto Days Mill Road which will take you to the Railroad Tracks and Brillhart Station on the left. Park and begin your quest for “The Weaver”.

Head South on the trail by passing the yellow buildings and red brick house on the right. After passing thru a red gate, look to your left and if you look carefully, you should see several turkeys and foxes. Maybe a chicken or hound dog too.
Just beyond you will pass a white marker with a 52 on it. Farther ahead you will pass a wooden railing on your left with a large tree laying behind it. The next wooden railing will have a picnic table at the beginning and two benches at the end. Just beyond that is the “16 Mile Marker”. As you pass the Twin Arch Farm, listen for the sound of wind chimes on a breezy day.
Pass over the bridge that has a creek and a road passing under it. Shortly you will come to two benches on your right. Stop and enjoy the scenery. Look across the railroad tracks and you might see some cattle grazing in the pasture. Take time to look around and enjoy your surroundings. Maybe you will see a Downy Woodpecker pecking away or possibly see and hear the call of a Blue Jay passing by.
When you see the long wooden rail fence on your right, your quest is drawing near. As you continue around the curve, you will see the Howard Tunnel just ahead. No need to take a rest at the picnic table, you will find what you seek just beyond the tunnel.
As you approach the tunnel, you will pass a storm drain that is in the middle of the trail. From here, continue 35 steps toward the tunnel, stop, and turn right, check out the painting on the face of the rock wall! I'm sure you will agree it's an awesome sight. The engine looks like its coming right out of the rock.
Go thru the tunnel, past the “15 Mile Marker” and sit on one of the two benches that are just ahead. Look across the track and slightly to the right. You will see an orange post with the word "LEAVING" on it. Go to the post and follow the path that is behind it for a short distance to a pile of railroad ties. There, near the middle and on top of the bottom tie, you will find "The Weaver" hiding behind the wooden debris.
