(Please do not put this box into a plastic bag. Thank you. Somebody did recently, and a box that managed to stay dry for two years is now musty!)

NOTE to those who may be concerned: This box is NOT on NPS land, but please tread lightly and leave no trace just as you would anyway...thanks!

Compass needed.
Leashed dogs okay.
Trail down short but strenuous. Trail up easier but longer.
Wear good boots.

Take the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Crabtree Meadows campground and park at the trailhead.
Take the SHORT route down to the Falls THEN:

Cross boards and down right.
Clamber rocks and logs.
Stop at awesome big tree roots/rocks display marking end of jumble.
82 paces down path.
Over single wood across in clearing.
From no hunting go north 45 paces over rocks and through trees.
At dead upstanding, big mossy points directly to target (42p @ 040).
Return to splashing and choose your way home.
