This letter box is accessable a from a number of trailheads. I will give the clues based on the trailhead from the Andrew Brook Trail. This trail is accessed on Mountain View Road which comes off of Rt. 103 in Newbury NewHampshire. Visit www.msgtc.org for more information.

Begin your search at the Andrew Brook trail on Mountain View Road. This trail is two miles in length up to White Ledges. The trail will lead to an opening which will bring Lake Solitude into view. Proceed on the trail until you come to a large tree at a junction. On this tree will be a large wooden sign which reads: "Andrew Brook Trail to Mt. Road (Newbury) 2miles." (in orange letters)

At this tree take a bearing (using true north) of 246 degrees and follow the Manadnock-Sunapee Greenway toward Mt. Manadnock. Walk 27 paces at this heading. (I wear a size 13 boot and one pace equals 3 and 1/2 boot lengths) Stop! Breathe. Take heading 210 degrees and walk 20 paces. Take heading 246 degrees for 13 paces. Take heading 202 degrees for 28 paces. Turn left and step out onto the rock in the water of Lake Solitude. Smell the air and value this time. Go back to the trail and walk 123 paces. Take bearing 266 degrees for 21 paces, you should arrive at a large mossy boulder and there may possibly be an old boat behind the rock? Take bearing 210 degrees for 12 paces. Then bearing 272 degrees for 8 paces. Then bearing 162 degrees for 12 paces toward a rotting tree. Then bearing 120 degrees for 20 paces.
At this point you have probably said some pretty words about me?
Now take 90 paces. Kneel down at pace number 90 and look in the direction of 102 degrees across the water. See that island? The letterbox is not out there, so where is it?
Continue to spin in a counter clockwise direction to a bearing of 318 degrees. You should now be staring at my home.
Like an orange eft salamander crawl up into that cool mossy rock overhang and peek around. Remember salamanders like dark cool places! You might have to loose sight of your hand to find me!
