Take exit 1 off Route 101 south onto Bypass 28 to the Massebesic Circle.
From the Rotary, go south on Bypass 28. Massebesic is on your left. Cross the Deerneck Bridge and continue .2 of a mile until you spot the trail on your left.
Go over, under, or around the orange and yellow metal barricade.

BOX NUMBER 1
Follow the trail and notice a stone wall on your left. When the trail curves left and through an opening in the stone wall, you will see 2 fallen pine trees on your right.
Continue along the trail for awhile, watching for a tall pine on the left with a thin, pale tree wrapped around it. It looks like they are hugging.
The hugging trees sit on the edge of a small gully.
In the gully is a small cluster of rocks.
The green dragonfly was living in the crevice of the largest rock. But due to all the rain we have had, he moved to higher ground. Stay on the trail and continue up a slight hill for 110 steps. Stop. Look to the right. There is a rock hiding behind a tall, straight pine tree. The dragonfly,s new home is between the pine tree and the rock.

BOX NUMBER 2
Back on the trail, continue and the stone wall appears again. Continue to the end of the trail and take a right.
The stone wall is now on your right. Go 45 steps and see a gap in the wall. Walk through the gap, turn right and look between the 9th and 10th rocks. The red butterfly is waiting there.

BOX NUMBER 3
Back on the trail, you will pass another metal barricade with another stone wall on your left. This wall is splashed with blue paint. Staying on the main trail, go under a tree bridge. The trail slants downwards and then upwards. Soon you will see an open field and a house on your left. At the end of the field, look to your right and you will see another metal barricade. Again, your choice, go under, over or around the barricade and follow this new trail until you see a large rock on your left with a crack in it.
The black bumblebee resides in this fracture. He was missing this summer but has now been replaced.

Congratulations. You are now ready to follow this trail out to Bypass 28. When you reach the road, your car is to your right.

Hope you enjoyed your adventure into "A Bug's World".
