This is an Easy Park and Grab
Although President Thomas Jefferson and his descendants are interred at Montecello in Charlotteville Virginia - there is speculation that his Slave Mistress Sally Hemmings is buried in a plot on her son's property, which is which is today the site of a Hampton Inn parking lot in Charlottesville, Virginia.Sally Hemings
DNA testing has linked many of the descendents of Hemmings with Jeffersons family.
Sally's mother was a slave named Elizabeth (Betty) Hemmings and her father was allegedly John Wayles the Father in Law of Thomas Jefferson thus the Half Sister of Thomas Jefferson's wife. Sally Hemmings and her mother became Thomas Jefferson's property as part of his inheritance from the Wayles estate.
The Mutual Children of Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemmings Madison are Edison, Harriet and Beverly with desendants who reside in Greenbrier County, West Virginia.
However, this letterbox Cache which honors Sally is located near a Hampton Inn Parking Lot in Greenbrier County, West Virginia.
To Find the Cache - You can take I-64 and the 169 Exit and turn toward Lewisburg onto 219 aka Jefferson Street. You will see A Shoney and A Ruby Tuesday Resturant. Further Down is The Brier Inn and the Hampton Inn. Across from the Hampton Inn is a Gravel Section with Road Equipment. There is a Wood Platform with Rod Iron Sidings. You will find the Letterbox on the far right section of the Platform
