*****Seems that boxes 2 and 3 are missing. The observatory burned down and with it, probably my box. :-( I'll repost clues when I put them out again.*************

This series was created and carved by an 11 yo, Lil’ Pawpy. If you do the boxes in order you will end up with a picture. Log the bonus boxes as “Other”on atlasquest.com.

None of the boxes contain ink pads or pens. The stamps look best when done with your markers.

Box #1
Your Neighborhood Path

West Charlton Cemetery, Galway – corner of Rt. 67 and 147, also known as Scotch Church

Park in the main driveway. Start at the curve in the driveway and go to the Smith-Gilchrist lookout. Stand facing Thomas G. At 280° go to the towering Ferguson. Put your back to the pumps, find the locust at 5:00. Stand on the east side of the tree. Go 8 steps at 230° to find the giant pencil. Use the number of letters in Mrs. Thorp’s mother’s first name times10 for your next compass reading to get to Rueben. Site 70° to find the “Foote” of the maples. Find “Whither thou goest, I will go” (Ruth 1:16) at 10°. (Check out the opposite side, too.) Look for the all-natural gravestone that is peeking over Baird. Behind Peter’s signature you’ll find your Neighborhood Path Box. Enjoy the view while you’re here.

Box #2
Man’s Best Friend

Sander’s Preserve, Sanders Rd, Glenville
(This is a short walk up one of the trails. During hunting season wear bright red/orange clothing. The boxes are only a short walk into the woods.)

Park in parking lot. Sign-in to use Section #1. Cross the road, go around the gate, follow the trail to the silver dome. Under the 2nd panel to the right of the door is your prize. This can be a well-traveled area so please be discreet.
While you’re here you can look for “NY State's Crappiest stamp” and “Footprints by the Water.” Both of these are listed only on letterboxing.org.

Box #3
Enjoying the Day

Glenville – This is a short 5 min. walk to the boxes. While here you may want to bike or hike more of the trail.

Park in the “Park and Ride” at the corner of 890 and Rt. 5. Follow the Bike Trail out of the parking lot. At the “T” take a right. Go under the tracks. Before the bridge turn right onto a dead end path. Behind the 2nd wooden post and under the bush is your prize.

Please be careful to re-seal the boxes and re-hide well.
