AS OF AUGUST 25,2011 THIS BOX HAS BEEN REMOVED FOR REPAIRS AND WILL BE RETURNED WHEN COMPLETED.

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 20, 2008

WE HOPE THE GOBLINS WON'T PLAY TRICKS ON OUR LETTERBOX THIS TIME BY REMOVING IT FROM IT'S HIDING PLACE AND ALLOW US TO TREAT YOU TO A SUCCESSFUL FIND. WE WEREN'T ABLE TO LOCATE A SIMILAR STAMP BUT FELT WE FOUND A GREAT REPLACEMENT AND HAVE REPLANTED THE BOX. ENJOY YOUR HUNT AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU!

Start your quest on the York County Heritage Rail Trail (http://ycwebserver.york-county.org/Parks/RailTrail.htm) at the Brillhart Station Parking Lot.
To find the Brillhart Station Parking Lot, use Exit 14 off of I-83 and head west on Leader Heights Road. Continue across S. George St. at which point the road becomes Indian Rock Dam Rd. At the Miller Meat Market, make a left unto Croll School Rd. and follow to the “Y” in the road. Bear right onto Days Mill Road. Continue to the railroad tracks. You will see the Brillhart Station Parking Lot on the left. Park and begin your quest for “Halloween Pumpkins”.

Head North by crossing Days Mill Rd. on the trail. You will soon pass the “17 Mile Marker” on your right. Go past the pair of benches because it is too early to stop for a break. Continue across the bridge. When you see the MCI Cable Marker 52/46, look to your left. You will see a very large house, must have been a large family living there at one time or another.
Pass the big White Marker with a 53 on it. Just beyond the marker is a nice picnic table, so take a short break and check your clues. As you sit here, you might think to yourself, “It would be nice if a Letterbox was nearby so that we could use the table”. Guess what! No pumpkins here. Sorry!
As you cross the 2nd bridge look to your left and you will see what appears to be an old water reservoir. Continue over the 3rd bridge and very soon you will have to cross over Indian Rock Dam Rd. Continue past the “18 Mile Marker” and through the gate. A short distance ahead you will see a bench that was presented by 10 ladies. Sit on the bench and look to your left. You will see a stone about 10 paces (1 pace = 2 steps) from the bench. It appears to be pointing uphill to a large tree which is approximately 3 paces from the rock. To the left of the large tree are 2 young trees with 2 fallen trees behind them that form an “X”. Behind the large tree under rocks and sticks you will find what you seek.
