The Town Pound was used to hold wayward animals that had escaped from their homes. A cow, horse or sheep was the usual animal kept until it could be recovered by its rightful owner. What the heck is this chicken doing in here? It's a very special bird; a prancing, dancing bird.

Find the intersection of routes 140 and 107 in Gilmanton. From this intersection, travel about 4/10 of a mile South on Route 107. On the right will be the Town Pound.

Cars were driving by very fast the day I planted so take care when getting out of your car!

Enter through the well maintained front gate. Marvel at the beautifully constructed walls. How did they make them so even and flat? To find the funky chicken, walk to the right, to the corner. Turn left and take 2 steps, bend down, look at the big rock on the bottom. On the top of this rock and towards the right top of it, behind some smaller rocks is the letterbox.

Please rehide in exactly the same spot, with bags closed tightly. Tuck the box back into the crevice where found and put the rocks in front to hide it completely.
