This one room schoolhouse and library was in operation until 1968.
The Glen Haven Historical Society has taken over the care of the building, and you can still visit the library on Saturday afternoons during the summer months.
Directions:
From Skaneateles (Rt 41 South)
Drive through towns of Borodino & Spafford. 2.2 mi past Spafford is Cortland Co. Sign (15.1 mi from Rt 20). Turn right on Vincent Hill 1.5 mi to stop sign. Turn right. Go straight when Glen Haven Road bears to the left, and the school will be on your left
From Cortland / Homer (Rt 281 North)
Take Rt 41 North from Rt 281. Go 7 mi to town of Scott. Turn left on Glen Haven Rd. Go 3 mi down hill, Go straight when Glen Haven Road bears to the left, and the school will be on your left
CLUE:
Park in front of the school and walk towards the anchor that was once the anchor of The Glen Haven steamer that ran on the lake. Walk around the building towards the playground. Look in the vegetation on the outside corner of the playground border (The slide will be in front of you).
While in the area, be sure to visit The Scott Town Park, and look for the South Skaneateles Series
