My intention is for your family to take a nice drive around the lake. There are several boxes now placed around the lake by others and our family. The drive takes about an hour and if done late afternoon, we usually will see deer (in October). Have fun.
From Garden City or further North, drive on the main road until you reach the "Bear Cave". Turn right to drive along the north side of the lake. You will pass over two bridges and pass the north beach. After passing a gray and white building, turn right at the yield sign. (There is another letterbox near here-check other postings). Ok - turn right.
Look for the Old Woman in a Shoe House. We always find this house interesting and wanted to point it out. Keep going. You will pass East Shore subdivision, North Eden. Soon you will find an old cabin on the right. When we placed the box, it was a stand alone. Park and stand on the side of the road facing the cabins front door. On your left will be a white pole. Take six paces toward the cabin from the pole, then 2 paces to the right. Move the rock sitting there to find your letterbox.
We love old cabins, so I hope this one remains.
Have a great time.
