This box has been reported missing! I will check on it next time I'm in Madison and give an update.
Before beginning the search for this letterbox, you need some clues from the zoo! The zoo is free and is open until 5pm.
What is the upper end of the range of body length for a male black bear?
(A)_______ inches
What is the range of the territory of a male black bear?
(B)_______ miles
How many cubs are born in a litter?
(C)_______ cubs
Begin at the south side of Vilas park on Vilas Park Dr, near the sign for the speed skating track. Head north, crossing the first footbridge over Wingra Lagoon. Follow the path beyond the end of the bridge A+B paces.
Leave the path and walk around to your right to go under the 2nd footbridge. Find a large tree with C trunks. Across from this tree is a bear's den on the north side of a small rock wall. Rehide well for all seasons!
