We visit Surfside Beach every year in October for a family vacation. We searched for the perfect spot to plant a box in honor of our yearly trip to Surfside Beach. There is a great park for children to play at on 10th Ave South. It is on 10th Ave South halfway between Highway 17 and the ocean. You will know that you have found the right park when you see the giant water tower in the parking area. As you enter the park you must go through a gate. Make sure you close the gate behind you! There are lots of trees in this park. Only one has a special place at the bottom that would be the perect place for a letterbox to hide. (Here's a clue, from the gate look straight ahead and slightly to the left!) Find this tree and you will find the treasure you seek! Be careful because this is a busy park. Please rehide well and cover with plenty of woodchips.
