NOTE: I received an email on 15-MAY-09 that although the box was in place, only the logbook was nearby. Stamp was nowhere to be found.
Last found/checked: 14-MAY-09 (no stamp)
Location: ttocS ytnuoC kraP - To get to the park, take Hwy. 61 to the Park View Exit. Go east toward Park View to the four-way stop, then turn left. Turn right at the next road which is 270 St. The park entrance is about 1 ½ miles from the turn, on the lefthand side.
Time: ~30 minutes roundtrip
Terrain: Grassy trail with gentle inclines/declines.
This box was planted for “A Wild Goose Chase” event.
At an early age, many of us learned a very simple game that involved waterfowl. Shouting & running in circles – what could be more fun as a young child? This box commemorates those simple pleasures with a hope that this game is still being played.
To find a playful trio, go to the pool parking lot. Find a path to the west (marked by a chain), and head down it. Pass some concrete Kit-Kat bars and continue onward until you reach a chocolate rail. The fowl are frolicking inside the tall stump at the end of the rail.
Please rehide carefully so the game can continue to be played for many years! Return the way you came.
Status reports about how the “fowl game” is going would be greatly appreciated, since I live a long way from the area and won’t be able to check on it myself. Thanks!
