Lake Creek Lodge is situated in the Deschutes National Forest near the beautiful Metolius River. This has been a gathering place for my extended family long before I was ever in the picture, and I anticipate that the tradition will continue for many years and generations to come.
To the letterbox:
Take highway 22 to the Camp Sherman turnoff. You will find Lake Creek Lodge a little more than three miles down this road toward Camp Sherman. Look for the restaurant parking - this is a smart place to park if you are just here to find the box.
The letterbox is located at the south end of the car bridge. It is on the east side of the main road at the base of a ponderosa pine. Look approximately 1 foot down the rock wall for a small hole hidden behind a melon-sized movable rock.
