In the Village of Alanson near the only stop light at the junction of US 31 and M68-
Look for a business place whose name is the opposite of OLD. Park on the grassy strip at the edge of Chicago Street (street going uphill). Walk south beside the rock walls that are covered with flowers and bushes. You will go by 3 stairways leading to nowhere except the middle one where old glory flies. Continue south until you see another stairway, leading up to and down from 3 memorial walls. Continue south until you find a very steep stairway. Go up the steps. Rest under the arch if you are winded. Continue up 3 more stairs. Pause, turn to the right. Follow the white picket fense to a group of trees with 4 trunks and another. Turn right and walk 20 paces down the steep, grassy slope. Then turn left, north, and walk 10 paces. Turn around and look for a huge rock that has a hollowed spot on the top. Between the rock and a bush you will find the letter box pretending to be a pansy.
