Travel to Lake Lila access parking lot via Sabbatis Rd off Rte 30. If you are coming from the south you will come into Tupper Lake. If from the north, you will come from Tupper Lake. You will pass the entrance to Little Tupper Lake, continue on and take a left onto a dirt road for Lake Lila. Once at the parking lot, follow trail to lake; it will be approximately 0.3 of a mile. You will come to a wooden footbridge very close to the end of the trail. Halfway down the footbridge, look for the tree full of woodpecker holes on your left. At the tree go ~6-7 steps and at that point look for a trail to your left. Take the trail for ~6-7 steps and turn left again. A short distance, perhaps 6-7 steps will bring you to a log under which you will find a letter box.
