These letterboxes began their "lives" as postals.
Pranks Parents Play
These boxes were supposed to be planted on April Fool’s Day, 2007, but what with it being Palm Sunday and having a big storm that day, the joke was on me!
Here they are now:

Parents can be some of the greatest pranksters. How many children have been told that if they swallow a watermelon seed, a watermelon will grow in their belly? Or been sent on a Snipe Hunt? Or played 52 pickup (once)? Maybe the weight of a parent’s responsibility makes them do these silly things, or maybe it’s the sarcastic result of having to answer all of those questions over and over. But whatever the reason, we salute the Pranks Parents Play!

Chicken Nuggets- For a very long time, our girls believed that Chicken Nuggets came from chickens the same way eggs come from chickens. Not because we told them that, but because it was the logical assumption for a small child. It seemed easier to let them believe that than to explain the reality.

Contact me if you are interested in the rest of the clue. It would be a good idea to allow several days for a response.
