If you find things of a Christian origin offensive, you might want to skip this box.

The Griswold Cemetery can be found on River road east of Fox River Road (east of the Farnsworth House). Park in parking lot #6 (for Silver Springs) and walk along the road 1/10 of a mile to the east. The cemetery entrance is on the right side.
It is not by coincidence that this letterbox is planted in a cemetery. The Christmas Nativity is celebrated in many faiths and cultures as the time of Christ's Incarnation, or God made flesh. The purpose of His incarnation was our redemption from the Fall, which began at Creation and continues in each and every one of us when we sin, or break God's Law. That redemption was accomplished when the sinless Son of God took our punishment in his body on the Cross of Calvary. In short, Jesus Christ was born to die. Why he would do that and what our response should be is a conversation that would be better if carried out in person and not in a letterbox clue. Please feel free to ask. Or you could read the Gospel of John.

Contact me if you are interested in the rest of the clue. It would be a good idea to allow several days for a response.

I would eventually like to do a few more boxes based on the life of Christ. But I had to start with Christmas!
