These boxes are located at Cedar Point County Park in Mears, MI. The park is located off B-15 between Silver Lake and Pentwater. There is no charge to enter the park.
Clues:
It is a beautiful 90 degrees out and the sky is crystal clear. You think about staying in to avoid the heat but you change your mind and decide to head to the beach. So you load up the car with coolers of water and snacks, sun screen and beach towels and everything else required for a day of fun. You drive along the twisty, turny roads that take along the lake til you come upon this little roadside park just perfect for your day. You pull in a unload your daughter and all your gear and head down towards the beach . You are just about to the stairs when your daughter yells out “wait” I lost my toys. Now you remember grabbing them and putting the in the car and then taking them out where could she have put them. She points towards Joe and you walk that way when you get to Ruefus she yells stop and points to the tree that looks like a backwards Y.(here you will find your first box) Well now that you have everything you head down to the beach. You get to the bottom of the stairs and gaze out at the beauty of the day. You gather your gear and pick your spot. Just as soon as you get everything situated you look at again and notice that the sky has gone from crisp blue to scary black. You grab you daughter, your chair and umbrella and head back for the line of trees to take cover and wait out the rain. You look to the trees and head towards the stairs where you notice a trail to the right. You decide to follow the trail, just down the trail you see a fallen tree that is blocking the trail. You step over the tree and walk forward where you see a tree with it roots showing like snakes and you decide that this would be a good place to take cover until the rain stops.(box 2) Well, you have waited a while now and it doesn’t look like the rain is going to stop so you decide to call it a day. You head back to the stairs to go back up to the car. You get to the top of the stairs and walk toward the car when you realize you must have dropped your shoes on the way up. So you walk back to the stairs and peek under the first one and find them.(box 3) So much for your nice day at the beach. Maybe you’ll try it again next week.
