This box is an easy driveby for any scouts on their way to Camp Wanocksett, or anyone hiking around Mt. Monadnock via the state park at the end of Poole Road.
The box is a collaboration of the Littleton (Mass), Pack 21, Webelo scouts (Scorpion Den) and West Dover Quidditch Team. It was originally created as part of Webelo Woods 2007, at the nearby Boy Scout camp, Camp Winocksett. It was moved to this location so as to not be on private scout property.
In Dublin, NH, in the shadow of Monadnock, from the intersection of Mountain Road (Rt. 124) and Dublin Road...
Follow Dublin Road north for 1.3 miles. Take a left onto Poole Road at the sign for Monadnock State Park. Follow Poole Road .4 miles to the trailhead on right for the Dora N. Spaulding Trail.
Proceed to the kiosk. Continue 40 steps straight ahead, keeping the stone wall immediately to your right. By the second of two large oaks on your right, be very careful of scorpions lurking on the far side of the stone wall. No rocks need to be moved. Please cover up carefully.
