From state rte. 47 (Main St.on the east side of town) take South East St. 3 blocks to Park Blvd., Park Blvd. 1 block to Woodland Drive, and turn right on Woodland. At the 3 way stop turn left on Hubert Drive and then an immediate right into Heritage Pk. Heritage Park was funded largely from Poultry Days income, and is the camping sight every June for the Ultimate Frisbee players who come to compete during Poultry Days, thus the need for lots of open space. Drive straight down the drive to the parking lot nearest the pond. Walk around the pond; enjoy the quiet, and the calm, unhurried atmosphere. Return to the corner of the walk nearest the parking lot. Look straight ahead to the treeline and fence. You will see two large pine trees. You will find a rooster under the back side of the second pine tree!
If you need a little refreshment, I suggest you try Jitters or Sideliners. Both are reasonably priced and great food, located on Main St. across from each other.
