This box is on Route 4 north of Schuylerville. Just after you cross the Hudson, around Thomson NY, you will see the Denton Wildlife Sanctuary maintained by the Nature Conservancy. It's on the right side if you are northbound.
Park in the pull off and head down the trail. You'll cross a swamp and then an open area. Follow the posts up the hill so you stay on the trail and off the private property. Go into the woods again and take the fast food loop. As you start this trail you will see a dead tree straight ahead. Go to the end.
