Go to the Hudson Highlands Nature Museum located across from 174 angola road (muser drive) cornwall, ny 12518 (845) 534 5506

After parking walk between the education center and the garage towards the teal blue flag as you walk you will see a red flag walk to it.At the red flag you will see a blue flag near the pond walk to it,( you are on the stowell trail). Make a left at the blue flag. Follow this trailstraight to the tree line.Keep following the teal blu trail you will be walkiing along side a stone wall on your right. you will pass a bench, continue on and you will come across a Y itersection with a post mared F stay to the left and continue on. You will come across another Y intersection, bear left up hill (on your right you will see a sugar shack- ask about thier maple tours in Feb. and March at the visitors center). At stone walls make left onto the teal trail continue up the trail you will pass a newly cut tree and stump on your left continue, you will pass a cut dead cedar tree lying on your right, just pass this cedar you will come across a dead tree on your left that has fallen onto the stone wall and STOP. Turn 90% to your right and you will see a mound of dirt and a break in the stone wall. Go through the break. Look ahead of you and you will see another dead tree lying acroos the stone wall. Under this log you will find some "Fun in the sun". This was hidden by my Summer camp kids years ago. Enjoy! (Sorry for all the confusion but trees die or need to be cut as time goes on.)
