Hudson Highlands Nature Museum across from 174 angola road (muser drive) Cornwall, ny 12518
Length 1.0 miles some up hill (great in fall)

After parking go to education center.pass between the education center and the garage. Look for tealblue flag. At teal blue flag,go straight into tall grass onto stowell trail (teal blue). The taril winds back and forth thu tall grass wich is a habitat for millions of insects and other invertebrates. The trail goes thru a stone wall and thru another field and thru a second stone wall. You are now in a forested area at a yellow flag. continue on across a bridge and up the steps to your left onto a yellowtrail and then bare left onto orange trail. follow back and forth up hill. You will see post marked with numbers, these are for self- guided Quests.(Ask about them at visitors center). At #10 post stop,Facing it look to your ten o'clock position and you will see a VERY large stump. Walk to itand look over it about 50 feet ahead and you will see a dead tree lying on it's side. walk to it. Now walk along it to the right and you will see another fallen tree at it's base are some rocks ."I SMELL SOMETHING FISHY". After replacing it continue on orange trail until it meets yellow trail and take a right dowin hill and right onto teal blue back to parkiing.
