Status of Minibox: Reported Missing on 10/1/08, but not confirmed.
The "Happy Phant" minibox is located at Slide Rock S.P., north of Sedona, AZ. This fee area park has historical items, fresh fruit to buy, and the spotlight feature - Slide Rock. Enjoy the day sunbathing along the creek and sliding down the rapids!
Directions:
From Sedona, go north on Hwy 89A for about 15 miles. Turn left into the park and pay your fee. Park in the lot.
To the Minibox:
Walk the path past the store, farm equipment and fruit barn until you come to the path going down to the creek. Go right on this path, then left at 1st junction at bottom of stair steps. Walk upstream along the creek, passing the bathrooms on far side. At the top of the "Slide", then go up the slop left to the ledge. Go right to the trees and find the path. Starting from the trees, count 24 steps along this path. Look left at large rock that is just before a 3 forked tree. At base of this rock is a 10 inch white rock(it was white, but I hear it no longer looks white), with a big grey rock right next to it. The box is behind the White Rock!!
