3 TOED MONSTER LETTERBOX
Child Friendly
Pet Friendly
Parking lot... short hike into the woods.....
Did you know that Lake Wylie had a Monster, just like Loch Ness ??
So legend says.... the 3 Toed Monster comes out at night and swims in the lake...... but sleeps all day in the nearby woods.
Maybe..... just maybe.... if we're very quiet.... we can sneak into the woods, down the trail at Southpoint Access... and see him.
SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Lake Wylie's Southpoint Access area is near Belmont, down Southpoint Road. Pass the Allen Steam Station on your left.... and then pass by 8 Beautiful Fountains on your right. Turn left down BOAT LAUNCH RD and go all the way to the end to SOUTHPOINT ACCESS AREA. At the East side of the lot about half way between light poles # 3 and #4 there is a trail into the woods... (Near the BOAT TRASH boxes). Take this rough trail into the woods until you see a very curvy tree that has fallen into the crook of another tree. From the base of this curvy tree turn to your left and walking on top of the little ridge, go about 20 steps.... you'll see a multi rooted tree. SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
The Monster is sleeping under the roots on the far side of the tree.... covered by leaves and sticks.
Do you see him ???
Now you know the legend is true........ you have 3 TOED PROOF !!
Bring your own ink and your own pen.
HAPPY TRAILS !
