This box is accessible by bike but I wouldn't try it on a road bike!

To find the trailhead, take 101 East from Manchester and get off at Exit 2. Turn right at the bottom of the ramp and turn left onto Old Candia Road (about 0.2 miles). Take the second left (0.4 mi) onto Tower Hill Road. This goes under 101 and starts up the hill. Park at the 3rd gate on the left (0.4 mi).

Walk or bike in. When the road forks, you can go left across the dam (the long way around to the box) or right along the east side of Tower Pond. At the north end of the pond, you will cross a bridge over a stream that flows into the pond. Just beyond the bridge, turn right onto a narrower road. Go about 55 steps (each footfall is a “step”). On the left you will see fallen trees. The last in the group is giving you a “thumbs up”. Behind that tree is a mossy rock at the base of a standing birch tree (10 steps from the road). The Hawk has nested under that rock.

Please hide carefully!

You can continue on around the pond—it is 3 miles to go all the way around and it is beautiful all the way—or you can go back the way you came in—which is almost (but not quite) as far.
