April 10 - Looks like we're back in business with this box. The rest area has reopened. Look for the footbridge downhill from picnic tables.

Today we started a cross country trek and we hope this will be the first of many planted and found letterboxes. We started very close to San Francisco so this stamp seemed appropriate. This was the first chance we go to plant it.
Going east bound on I80, stop at the rest stop east of Colfax, CA. The "town" is actually Gold Run. Go to the south end of the foot bridge and, facing the bridge, look around the right end. Don't slip, watch for snakes and make sure it cover it up well when you're done.
